Artist Statement
My name is Richard Arnot, I am a artist, designer, and curator currently living in the U.S.A. My art work spans in different varieties and range from painting, screen printing, murals to video and music production, which all generate a feeling of freedom for me:)
My background in art and design has evolved from my passion for self expression, and the influences instilled in me from teachers, artists and nature from an early age.
I am founder and co-producer of an award winning art festival called "Nocturnal Mockery" that is going on it's 8th year of success. Co-Founder and Partner of award winning fine art gallery "Edifice Gallery" and active contributor to edificegallery.com blog.
Won Bronze award for best artist in Colorado Springs, Co in the 2008 Colorado Springs Independent news paper.
Residing in Santa Cruz, Ca as of 2009, I am currently developing a clothing company called, yep you guessed it Edifice Clothing that I will be bringing to the market later this year, you can view sales samples of the Edifice clothing line in my store link.
I have also listed some of my current work here (portfolio).
I am currently looking for gallery representation in the U.S. and abroad, and I always love to add what I can to group shows.
I enjoy the journey of artistic expression and would love the opportunity to show more of my work in the coming years.
